New for Spring 2009, FiveTen introduces its benchmark Stealth rubber in paint form.
Stealth Paint is a rubber compound developed from recycled Stealth Rubber.
It is designed for use on rock climbing and outdoor shoes to increase durability and perform spot repairs whilst still offering the friction Stealth Rubber is known for.
Launched earlier this year in the US, the response has been fantastic and created its own unique scene as you can see from one US climbing wall's Stealth Paint Party.
Right then this might not be the biggest product of the year but it can transform a pair of rock shoes or approach shoes by increasing strength to areas of the shoe not covered by rubber. It can be used to repair soles that are coming off and also to plug small holes in shoes giving them a bit more life, think of it as a first aid kit for rock shoes. This bit of kit could save your next rock trip, just imagine your shoes start to fall apart when your climbing in the middle of nowhere and you dont have a repair kit.
To get a idea of what it is like the kit is used on the toe box of the jet7 and also have a look at the videos from 5.10 below.
