Mammut Flash 10.5MM 60M
The Flash is one of the best hard wearing ropes on the market today. Now the 10.5MM thickness is used where 11MM ropes were a few years ago. The slight weight saving makes this rope more versatile that the older 11MM ropes. It can be used for most climbing types with the only thing that is not in its favour is the weight of the longer lengths of rope where most people are using 10 or 9.5MM ropes but when you want the extra durability and wear resistance then a 10.5MM rope is the way forward.
This would be most suited to the more heavy duty user or someone who wants a higher safety margin and it is also used in centers and for group use.
The 60M length is a great all round length which is suitable for use mainly outdoors and on longer routes and is also suited for indoor use but you may be pulling alot of excess rope through between climbs!
This would not be suited to winter or ice climbing due to it not being dry treated.
